Razorblade

Razorblade is a record label set up by me, Scott, in 2006 to release records by my band Secret Shine until we sign a multi-million pound record deal. While we are waiting for this to happen I've invited other bands to share the record label, including the The Great Admirers, Vincent Callan and Aspen Woods. There are other releases in the pipeline as we speak.Razorblade is a truly independent label owned by the artist's themselves. So far 'we' have released records by predominently Bristol-based artists but this isn't part of the selection process. We welcome anyone...within reason. No-one would take this label at all seriously if we released any old rubbish so your music must be good!There are long term plans to turn this label into something bigger and more useful, offering advice, recording facilites, help with promotion and distribution, maybe even financial backing one day, but for now the foundations have been laid and we are looking for artists who want to share our label. At the time of writing, all we can offer is a record label 'name and catalogue number' to put on your record sleeve and you do the rest but this is just the start of things to come. We believe in strength in numbers - the theory is that all the 'Razorblade' bands can pull together in some sort of cross promotion frenzy and all raise each other's profile.Please note, this myspace page will be changing lots this year so keep on visiting.
