About Me

Virginia - well known for being the state for lovers has of late also taken on the role of being the breeder of Hit Makers. Out of the thriving masses of musical hopefuls few stand out in the manner and degree as does one female hip-hop artist by the name of Fyre.Born and raised in Norfolk, VA. Fyre began her career unlike many other artists in the business - by accident. Fyre developed a knack for writing early on in life. She'd won trophy's and cash prizes in nearly a dozen literary and poetry contests all before reaching middle school, it was at the prompting of her classmates that she began free styling with the boys during lunch breaks. "I used to sit and watch them rhyme and think to myself thats nothing I could put all of them to shame, but I was always too shy to speak up". As Fyre describes "when I finally did get coerced into opening my mouth the ability to command and captivate an audience just by my words even back then is what got me hooked". Her prowess with the pen can be heard in every song she makes as she writes all of her own material, and she will often even lend an ear to the production as she is also a professionally trained pianist. When asked her influences, she humbly admits that she actually listened to very little rap in the early years, Enya, Cher, Madonna, and anything 70's was always in her tape deck. Fyre took special notice to the hip hop industry with the emergence of Salt N Pepa and Moni Love. She attributes her ability to think outside of the box from her eclectic and varied musical tastes.Fyre is by all means a force to be reckoned with. Just as a forest must regrow after a wildfire - the industry will be raised from ashes by her original and influential sounds. Discovered by Justice in 2003 he aided in cultivating her style that he described as "unique but at first she was all over the place, she just needed direction" and direct he did. Together five years in the making they've developed a unique mixture of pop, hip-hop, and soul all nicely blended over Justice's production."Its like watching one of my babies grow up, I'm proud but at the same time worried for the world" Justice laughs " they really dont know whats about to hit em'"!
