According to history it is said that SANGYE NYENPA Rinpoche, whose source of emanation is the Buddha Maitreya, took many births as different Mahasiddhas of India, such as Yeshe Nyingpo, Pandita Mirtijana etc. and worked for the benefit of the Buddha Dharma and many sentient beings. The 1st Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche, Tashi Paljor, took birth in Nyen Phodrang in the Thadul Gyi Tsuglag Khang in Den Lhakhang Drölma, in the East part of Tibet. At the age of 7, he met the 7th Karmapa Chödrak Gyamtso in whom he developed extraordinary faith. He gave him the name Tashi Paljor.The following Nyenpa Rinpoches are:2nd Lhungpo Rabten

as the reincarnation of Lama Samten, the 1st Tenga Rinpoche. From then onwards a special connection has been established, which Tenga Rinpoche continued having in his present life since the age of 3.9th Tenpa Nyima who passed into Parinirvana at the age of 66 in Rumtek Monastery, Sikkim the seat of H.H. Karmapa. The 10th Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche was recognized by H.H. 16th Karmapa, who saw through His undiluted wisdom eye the birthplace, the name of the parents, the year and sign of birth and thus gave clear indication.At the age of 5 he started his studies, writing and reading as well as the outer and inner sciences relying on H.H. Karmapa, H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and other great masters. Presently he lives in his monastery Benchen Phuntsok Dargyeling Kathmandu, Nepal giving teachings to the monks and other disciples.Short Biography of the TENGA RINPOCHE....The story of Tenga Tulkus starts at the time of the 7th Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche. One of his students was the highly realised Lama Samten. He was also known as "Gönkhen Samten", signifying that he was a specialist of protector practices (Gönpo = Protector). He spent most of his life in retreat, meditating on his yidam Karma Pakshi and on the main Kagyu protectors. He practised mostly Dorje Bernagchen and Shing Kyong. The power of his blessing was such that he could cure all kinds of sickness instantly and he was widely known throughout the region. Many people came to receive his blessing.
The 3rd incarnation of Tenga Tulku was born in 1932 in Kham (Eastern Tibet).He studied all the tantric rituals and philosophy with many different masters. From his uncle he learned about traditional Tibetan medicine. He completed his studies with a 3 Year retreat.
In 1959, after the Chinese invasion, he left Tibet and after spending one and a half years in Kalimpong he settled in Rumtek Monastery (Sikkim), the main seat of H.H. the 16th Karmapa. There he served His Holiness for 17 years, the last 9 years of which he acted as Dorje Lopön (Vajra Master). In 1974 he accompanied His Holiness on his first tour to America and Europe.
Since 1976, Tenga Rinpoche has been living in Swayambhu, Nepal, where he founded Benchen Phuntsok Dargyeling Monastery and a retreat centre in Pharping. Since 1978, he..s been touring Europe extensively. Ven.
