About Me

So, I'm Steve and I make music...sometimes live, sometimes in the studio, sometimes with other musicians and writers and sometimes alone.
I currently play live in the band 'DISPOSABLE MAN' but always have other projects on the go and often record and produce stuff for fellow artists.
I'm into exploring many musical styles and prefer an open ended approach...almost like letting music create itself...the way it needs to go, so one track may be a trance thing...the next guitars and vocals etc.
My main instrument is guitar, but keys/bass/drums/programming also have their place in what I do. Vocals and lyrics......well, I have tried with varying degrees of success but usually prefer to leave that to someone more skilled in that area...but if no one is available, then....
The tracks posted on this site are a mix of old and new, from the 80's to things mixed in the last few days...things that would otherwise perhaps never be heard.
Details of individual tracks - like the year recorded, and the band name or artist I've worked with on the track will be up on the photo if I can fit it in - if not, more info will be in the 'lyrics' section.
The name Satori 24, by the way, was the name used for a dance track I made in the early 90's - the project name was actually 24 Satori - two albums were produced, 'Gone' and 'The Soft Cushion'. I still like the name, so I've used it here.
Satori 24 is a state of consciousness one octave above man's normal level of 48 and is recognised as the point where the artist/musician/writer/bricklayer is in a state of total absorption with their work to a degree that separation is non existent...the work and the artist are one. Above this are the states of Satori 12 and 6...getting too metaphysical here...just listen to the music :)
Peace and Satoridreams
Steve.
