I'm Grammy and I have been known to gripe every now and then. Why not? There's so much to GRIPE about! I have never in my life, seen so much bullarky and shenanigans going on in this day and time. Sometimes I'd rather sit on the front porch and rock myself back into the past, hoping to recapture a space in time when things were a bit slower, a bit gentler, and a whole lot more sensible.
I remember when... the old folks would sit on the front porch rocking... swatting at the flies and sipping sweet tea... telling tales of their childhood and the 'good ole days'. They'd always say that there was nothing new under the sun... that times were changing... and how they wished things would be like they used to be.
Too young to appreciate or understand the wit and wisdom... before the invention of portable voice recorders... I can now look back and WISH I had been more attentive. If I'd had the presence of mind, I could have jotted down all the information... the voices that could have filled the family tree with golden nuggets... Ah, what does a young girl know?
As the song goes..."I wish that I knew what I know now, when I was younger"I enjoy researching Genealogy (as time permits) and collecting family photos... anything Native American, Fantasy, 'retro' and natural scenery pictures/graphics are my favorites.
I love this little girl. She looks, acts, and sounds like an ANGEL!
