biology (herpetology more specifically), do a bit of study, but what i'm enjoying most at the moment is playing aussie rules footy at ANU. it's fucking fantastic! i've never had more fun playing a sport in my life! good game to watch as well... easy to get good and fired up about :)
anyone i suppose... old friends i haven't heard from in ages... cool people in my neighborhood who i haven't yet discovered, people who reckon an evening of goon drinking and taking the piss out of television characters can rate higher than hitting up the club..... hehe.... i say that now... but where am i thrusday friday saturday?.... not on the couch with a space bag, that's for sure. but, yes, truely. my best nights have definately been mights in hanging out and shooting the shit with a good mate.
crazy about: bob marley, flogging molly, pink floyd, sublime, the cure, the smiths, atmosphere, deltron, david bowie, bob dylan, the pixies, led zeppelin, elvis, gypsy kings, alanis morrissette, the beatles (of course), porcupine tree, the stones, doobie brothers, elton john, jonny cash, radiohead, weezer, battlefield band, paul simon, peter gabriel, garth brooks, the supremes, aretha franklin, howlin' wolf.... and i love musicals. i know they're cheesey and sappy, but that's why they're great.
anything directed by david lynch, moulin rouge, crouching tiger hidden dragon, american beauty, natural born killers, run lola run. amilie, before sunrise, before sunset, short bus, i am a sex addict.
family guy, futurama, south park, star trek (all series... voyeger only in the first couple seasons... the last one was a bit crap... but i always had a little crush on t'pol... i might be able to count on one hand the people who got that last bit...haha) csi, the l word, nip/tuck, house, battlestar galactica, and fucking twilight zone! ... hehe, not that i ever see these shows anymore... i'll just have to catch up on them next time i'm back in california visiting my family.
the queen's gambit, the handmaid's tale (margaret atwood in general), xenocide (really anything by orson scott card), perfume, the moral animal....read it! it's fuckin great! it's all about evolutionary causation for human behavioral patterns and the functional basis for the way we interact..... anyway......song master (orson scott card) was fucking terrific. so strange dude... and wyrms! chuck palahniuk is also a favorite of mine... just finished diary, it's good, but i'd recommend survivor over it any day.
my grandpa. he's a decorated war hero with two purple hearts from his service in infantry in iwojimad. some of the storys he's told me are just unbelievably raw you wouldn't believe it. what really gets me though about my grandpa bud though is that he's always happy. the fucker sings constantly... that is when he's not devising strange new contraptions to scare the cats away from his yard.... hahaha.... any way. he said to me one that there wasn't a day in his life he didn't decide to be happy and i completely believe him. for god's sake, the guy's 85 and he's all climbin' all on top of his roof festively drunk cracking himself up trying to catch a glimpse of the 4th of july fire works!
