I am a composer/performer from Merthyr Tydfil in Wales who now lives in Scotland. I compose, sing and play bass (plus teach, play guitar and drums and all sorts of other things). You can check out my rock band The Xtras here and my "solo" rock songs here
This is the third myspace page to feature my music. This one is dedicated to my "classical" (in the loosest sense) output. Scores of most of my music is available for free download from sibeliusmusic.com . You'll need to download the free Scorch software in order to view the music.
The Lobster Quadrille comes from my musical version of Alice in Wonderland written for my third year pupils 1999. A junior school performed this show in 2005 with 10/11 year olds (with adult instrumentalists). Click here to see the music for this song at Sibeliusmusic.com (you'll need to download the free scorch plugin first).
I first wrote my Preces and Responses as a student at Magdalen College, Oxford but first had them performed in 2007 at an Evensong service at Morningside Parish Church, Edinburgh. Click here to print the score for free.
I Sing of a Maiden was written for na Clarsairean (the orchestra of the Harp Society) for their Annual "Harps of Gold" Christmas concert in 1999. I've since rearranged it for strings, clarsach and SA choir. A free score is available at my sibeliusmusic site.
Down the Slippery Slopes of Myrtle comes from a choral version of Edward Lear's nonsense poem "The Courtship of the Yonghy Bonghy Bo"
My Prelude was semi improvised after teaching a lesson about neo-classical music.
I wrote an arrangement of Auld Lang Syne whilst on a school orchestra and choir tour of the Czech Republic in early April 2008. The picture of of St Giles' in Nymburk where the arrangement was first performed.
I don't accept friends requests from current pupils for fairly obvious reasons but I am happy to hear from former pupils.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
