Essence of Night is Serbian Futurepop/Industrial Dance project that started its work in year 2008.After their song Escape was released on Dark:Scene Compilation vol.3,they started work on their first official release for Dark:Scene net label-Ghost of Past EP.Soon after that,they had a live performance on a local industrial music festival where they played songs that were later released on Departure full-length album.At the moment,Essence of Night is working on their second full-length album and third official release-GOD COMPLEX.This album has a far more professional sound than past two releases.It will be finished in April/May 2009.Essence of Night creates a sound that is a mixture of different electronic sub-genres: Uplifting Trance,Futurepop,Harsh EBM,Electro Industrial...This sound is created my combining distorted drums with fast basslines and uplifting melodies,followed by etheric guitars.Vocals are ranging from basic deep sound to highly distorted in Aggrotech style.Another important thing is their logo.The sign is an ancient symbol(in somewhat changed design) for four stages of consciousness: Awake, sleeping, dreaming, and a trance or transcendental state.
