The Iron Guild, a renegade band of iron casters, was formed in January of 2003 by a group of students while attending Massachusetts College of Art. The Guild has since graduated,and produced over a dozen events across New England, from simple iron foundry demonstrations to site-specific performances. The Iron Guild has become a local legend in and around Boston and a notable member of the contemporary iron casting movement.

On a cliff overlooking a former marble quarry, we constructed a furnace out of natural materials and supplies found on-site; clay, sticks, mud, sand, rocks and bricks.
