Hi. I'm Glen. Singer. Songwriter. Short guy.I play music. I always get confused when people ask me what kind of music I play. Not because it's the most original stuff out there, but because, as a true cliched artist, I often forget that there's actual, you know, genres in music. So my explanation of the type of music I play is that it's basically rock and roll, but some of my songs have a bit of a folk influence to them, some of them have a country influence to them, hell, you could probably make an r&b remix out of "Maybe Tomorrow." We'll have to record it first. Then somebody can give it that washing machine droning drum line that's so prevelant in today's r&b music, you know, that "BUMP bum bum BA BUMP bum bum BA" thing that you can hear coming out of all those cars with the kicker boxes in the back as they drive down the street. The very same cars that if they drive by my dad's house, if he's outside, he'll make them stop so he can tell them what an asshole he thinks they are for making his dishes rattle in his house when they drive by. They're usually too deaf to hear him though. My brother Devon plays bass for me. He doesn't exactly like the type of music I play, write, or listen to. And to my knowledge, it hasn't gotten him laid yet. Come to think of it, it hasn't gotten me laid, either. This is proof that girls don't like guys with guitars. Girls like GOOD LOOKING guys with guitars. And even at that, they can take or leave the guitar. But, he does play bass, and does a really good job with it, and I'm beyond happy to have him in my band. I also have a friend named Adam who plays guitar for me. We both seem to do a good job of jumping up and down at the same time or head banging at the same time and nearly taking each other out on stage. I also have a friend named Erik who plays drums for me. I'm hoping someday I can make enough money playing music to convince him to quit the bands he's in that DO make money and play for me full time. Every thing he's ever done behind my band is the way I've always pictured it in my head. I don't have to tell him what to play. He just does it. I also have a friend named Darren who seemingly unknowingly glues everything together. He's usually seen behind the kit on nights Erik can't play, but he also has played guitar and bass for me in the studio, as well as a couple of gigs on guitar, and he comes up with all these really cool harmonies for background vocals, too, and always does it with an enthusiasm that reminds me not to burn out and give up.If you live in Haverhill, we've probably played at your favorite bar, more than once.We have a new record coming out called Scrupled. It's being produced by Bob Beal of The Screen. It's really really good. When it comes out, you should buy it. We've worked hard on it, and need to recoup the expenses for chicken parm dinners, and hopefully make you smile in the process when you hear the record.
