In the early 1980's He first started rapping as M.C. Kidd Hipp and West Coast Poplocking as "Cartoon". Doing shows at different levels from backyard parties, to legendary all rap AM station K-DAY 1580 party events, to the Los Angeles Sports Arena "Uncle Jam's Army"concerts. In 1985 "Serious" made his name on the streets when legendary L.A. Radio D.J. During that time "SERIOUS" Battled now well known rappers like Ice-T, M.C Force, Beat Boy, the D.V.X crew. I grew up at a time where backyard parties were everywhere and met The Street Dancers Paco, Gilbert, Danny Boy, Frankie Breeze,Popcorn and Jeep-Jeep b.k.a B-Real that street danced for Op at that time B did not rap at the time, but he was a hell of a break dancer and represented Hip Hop then in L.A. like he does now. Shortly after I also met up with Senen Sen Dog from Cypress Hill and (Op) Mellow Man Ace from the Reyes Bros. I also met up with different L.A. Hip-Hop B-boys such as King-Tee, Mix Master Spade, World Class Wreckin' Crew, L.A. Dream Team, Egyptian Lover, Ice-T, Michael "Turbo" Chambers, Battlecat, G-Cell and Qluso The Dominoes Poplock crew, Supha latin "Click", Original Kday Mixmaster Julio G. and yes The Master, DR. DRE from N.W.A. at the time was from the World Class Wrecking Crew who was Big Joe's D.J. at his opening night and where they moved the crowd at Dooto's night club in Compton, California.
"I NEVER FORGET WHO I AM, WHERE I CAME FROM, AND WHAT I'VE BEEN THROUGH...
HERE'S SOME REAL HISTORY TO SHARE WITH YOU...
After a house (Ditching Party) that was promoted by DJ Julio G. in 1986 a duffel bag belonging to me was stolen in South Gate. Calif. In it was some of the most prolific lyrical works that I had to date. my works were given to the now well known group known as "Cypress Hill" they got a hold of my works used my ideas in 1990 and such songs as "Insane in the Membrane", and "How could I Just Kill a Man" and several others were used by that camp. To this day I have never been mentioned nor ever received credit or recognized for my writings and or Ideas. "Quote" It's all good homie, you can keep all of it; all of you know that it's my works and writings. Bottom line I don't owe you and I don't know you. you forgot about me, but I never forget. Shutting them up and Shutting them down! I'm coming and IT'S SERIOUS!

THE MAN KNOWN AS JOE SERIOUS...
Just some things you should know about me is that I am a man, a warrior a artist and I am a God filled spiritual man that loves his family, true friends and I take life Serious and in life I am committed to excellence. I judge no one or no man on how they fall but how they pick themselves up. I am a solid business man with many accomplishments under my belt in many different industries including music. I have always been known to raise the bar when it comes to competition especially towards my set goals and visions. I am a fierce competitor that respects the game. I do the best in all that I do, the best! I am always learning and becoming the student that looks for more in life and creative art. Though I am deep at times I express myself as a teacher with facts. I do what I say and do as I do as with my walk and talk but my motto is "Action speaks louder than words"! I can be intimidating to most and a threat to the competition, but I always uphold myself true inside and out and I am known as a Respected man with wisdom and knowledge. A Magnate to other Magnates. A word to the wise sometimes when I deal with some people they will either get Dr. Jekyll or they will get Mr. Hyde it all depends on how people choose to come at me, we can either get along and show respect to one another or you can see the other side of me. "That's Gangsta"! I love all music, especially funk, oldies and yes of course hip hop. I love making new friends and working with good people that have creativity, visions and that are real to life itself.
I love making money and finding new ways to make cash flow a part of my everyday life giving me the power to make moves much easier financially. I do not have the time to waste with small minded people that have no direction. There is a lot more about me than just this, way more! I have many life stories and experiences that I lived through some great, some good, some bad, some ugly and some that were just plain horrifying. but I am alive and God is the one that showed me how to be truly happy. I am proud of who I am and what I am about. I live with values of many great characteristics but live by loyalty and honor. I know that I am a winner because winners never quit and quitters never win! I am now with The legendary Godfather of Gangsta Rap Morey Alexander with First Kut Records out of Las Vegas and I now am the Los Angeles connection. Now I have a great chance just as good as any in this Rap Game. It's true to survive in life you have to be skilled and talented but there is one very important thing that you must have to be victorious in life, business, or politics: "You Got to have Heart"! call me what you want but this is who I am and how people know me as "Joe Serious"!
