Detroit native Hip-Hop group Delta G began their recording careers as
high school freshmen in 2002, when they both put their talents together in the studio for the first time. A few years later, Alo Genius and Sam Wise would discover themselves on an escapade of local shows with childhood friends Finally Famous Entertainment. These days, Delta G has evolved into a true two-man show, with enticing lyrics and production dubbed “one of the best I’ve heard… and I’ve been in the studio with the greats” by G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean. With an amazingly broad set of influences ranging widely from the new-age pop sounds of Kanye West, to the soul-stirring sounds of the late great Detroit native J Dilla, Delta G prides themselves on the spectrum of their musical roots. Their sound often forays into the digital realm, but always grooves with that undeniable pulse of hip-hop. Currently, Delta G has been in the studio recording their new album “I Am Delta G”, which is expected to release in the 1st Quarter of 2008. Their first single, “Never Enough” has hit clubs from the Detroit-Metro area to the largest clubs in Barnstaple, United Kingdom and is sparking a well-known buzz throughout. Not only does the group have recognition as a pioneer in the rediscovery of Detroit Hip-Hop, their production work by member Alo Genius is renowned as well. With a placement on Big Sean’s “Finally Famous Vol. 1” mixtape and seven production credits on Pat Piff’s “28 Grams Later”, Alo proves his consistency and endowment. Sam Wise has been writing and performing his own songs since the talent shows in Elementary school, building and structuring his craft to the mighty wordsmith he is today. He linked with Alo because the unique vibe of Alo’s instrumentals brought out the best of Sam Wise every time. Both Sam Wise and Alo Genius put two hundred percent into their music, and the same goes for Delta G’s upcoming album and future projects.
