ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OPEN REGISTRATION TO COMPETE FOR MISS GAY CALIFORNIA US of AMiss Gay California USofA has been updated to an Open Registration Pageant. This year the entries do not require California residency or qualification in a California preliminiary. This pageant will be held on April 20th, 2008 in Bakersfield, CA. The Birdcage, proud host of the Miss California USofA Pageant is moving to a new location and will be ready for the pageant. The new address is 811 19th Street, Bakersfield and is located in closer to the downtown area and the Holiday Inn Hotel.If you are interested in competing for Miss Gay California USofA, which is a direct preliminary to Miss Gay USofA held at the end of May in Dallas, TX then come on out and apply.Contestants coming to compete as an Open Entrant would need to pay their registration fee of $175.00. The open registration policy at this time is only for this one year. Any future Miss California Pageants may require to state residency and qualification in a state preliminary.
