About Me

Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own! For years the Carney's had been entertaining family and friends at get-togethers. In December 2006, Gerry Carney and siblings, Chris, Cathleen and Geraldine went a step further and formed a band called "Clan Carney", a hard working band striving to achieve beautiful harmonies and gutsy rebel folk tunes. January 2007 saw the production of their first CD (Saoirse na hEireann) and have since sold over 1000 copies. The popularity of the band has grown from strength to strength and have been packing venues to raptuous reviews, performing in Liverpool, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin. The group have just released a new album during the summer called 'Unforgotten heros' and has proven extremely popular with their fans. The new CD features songs like 'Black n Tans', 'Let the people sing', 'Rock on Rockall' and of course the now hugely favorite tune 'The Legend'. These songs are performed like only Clan Carney can perform them. Clan Carney are a new group with a big future and are already one of the best live true traditional acts on the circuit. A guaranteed fantastic night out wherever they play. Don't miss their next show!
