I've seen episodes of Felicity of the Oxygen network... gay jokes aside. Otherwise, consider me a bonafide clusterfuck with faulty wiring. It all makes more sense the more you actually "know" me. -- Things become awkward if you know me biblically, though.

My Interests

Writing
It is the aspect of life where I am in complete control. I can control whether I will become picky with every written word. Or, I can choose to switch into auto pilot and allow my stream of consciousness to guide my pen. I love to write by hand. The words that I physically create are beautiful works of art with every letter. Each character that I create is so much more than a face and a name. They are potential spirits. They have a past and live the present... only because of me. What they do next is my doing. I am the puppeteer, they are my marionettes. I am God, they are creations.

Music
I've lately gotten back into playing music after a small hiatus. I listen to music to actually hear the chords, the rudiments, the rhythm and texture. Lyrics are important... but they are only poetry without music to back them.

Reading
I just love to read... what can I say?

Video Games
Give my Final Fantasy or give me death. I love video games... just not as much as my roommates.

My All-Time Favorite Movie: Garden State / Can't Hardly Wait

But, that doesn't mean that I don't like a few other movies. Usually, I can be a sucker for Romantic Comedies, I like comedies... but Drama can work too. I enjoy a great deal of movies, but the ones that stand out for me are obvious... because I bought the DVDs.

My few DVDs are: National Lampoon's Van Wilder, Pirate of the Caribbean, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Clerks, Dogma, The Entire LOTR Trilogy, Empire Records, Badder Santa, Kill Bill (Volume 1 and 2), Mean Girls, The Royal Tenenbaums, Garden State, Napoleon Dynamite, Spaceballs, Lost in Translation, I Heart Huckabees, The Life Aquatic, The Incredibles, Spiderman 2, Batman, The Girl Next Door, and Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, American Pie 1 & 2, Bottle Rocket, Fight Club, Snatch, Batman (The 70s Movie).

I don't succumb much to the idiot box. I catch up on sports, watch The OC on Thursdays and if I catch the other shows... I catch them. Otherwise, I want them all on DVD.

Books:

Current Read: V. by Thomas Pynchon

Of course... Anything by John Gardner, including The Art of Fiction. His memoir and tutorial on writing fiction for beginning writers. Highly recommended. -- For other books on writing:
"Zen in the Art of Writing" by Ray Bradbury.
"Writing the Novel" by Lawrence Block.
"On Writing" by Stephen King.

The Harry Potter series and Lord of the Rings trilogy (including The Hobbit and the Silmarillion) have my complete attention when it comes to fantasy.

I've been getting more into realistic fiction. The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Catch-22, Invisible Man, The Rules of Attraction, On the Road.
