Chronicles of W.E.R.:
The Chronicles of WER (on the Far Eastern Shore) as told by: The Earl of WER of the Kingdom of WER (which is really no kingdom at all, which is another story).
"Thou art a fool," babbled Nonsence. "There is much work to be done in the Kingdom of Horse"."There is indeed," replied WER, "However the expedition is set and arrangements are made. The journey has been commissioned from the hand of Joshua the Red of Loch. To the far East I shall sail. The music we've sung, the writing's prepared, the wisdom of JAR, he's offered to share.""Then let it be done," said Nonsence.
WER's boat set sail from the west coast of Horse. One must go far west to reach Eastern's shore.
The voyage was grand, on a day bright and fair,
however a storm, caught WER unaware.
As WER gasped for air, on the Eastern shore waves,
a great thing of beauty, came passing his way.
A musical fairy, or damsel of love,
WER pondered this figure,
from Heaven above
"Kind lass, if you may, a word I might have?" asked WER. "Might I inquire your name.""My name is Yuko, from the family of Worm," replied the maiden. "I am but a performer in the Emperor's great court. I came to your rescue, in your moment of need, the rocks of the shore, in storms you must heed."WER could not believe his good fortune. Fancy the meeting, one's only desire, on one chance encounter, in a moment so dire!"Dear Yuko in debt, I always will be, for your act of kindness, I bow at your knees. Your beauty's un-rivaled, your skin smooth and fair, your eyes are like fire, and silk is your hair.""I see you're a noble, with this I'm well pleased, an escort I'll give, away from the seas," replied Yuko.Far inland they travelled, they started their quest, past village and jungle, and a river quite vast."Now kind sir, may I so boldly ask, why have you travelled, to these far lands of the past?" asked Yuko.WER replied, "I am but a minstrel, from the Kingdom of Horse. I have heard of your Kingdom from the Legends of JAR. I have grown weary with the comforts of Horse. I have sailed to these lands, that I might un-ravel the great mysteries from the annals of JAR.""A minstrel you say?" replied Yuko. "I am but a dancer in the courts of the King, our talents together, might just please the king. We'll dance and we'll sing, and beat the great drums, and then we'll get drunk, on whiskey and rum. For this you can stay, and live in our land, and then we will send, and bring forth your band.""So be it," stated WER. (to be continued.........maybe).
