4Saken are a big hit in their home town of Liverpool and are now widening their audience by performing at showcases and events all over the NorthWest of England.
They have began work on a CD which they have titled ‘Northern Takeover’ which features some of their well known songs including ‘Click Click Pop’ ‘Down For the Love’ And their latest R’n’B number ‘Waiting (for your call)’
2003-2005
Back in 2003 4Saken we’re known as Timber Troublez Clique and consisted of 4 members including Trooper and Game Creator. Timber Troublez was the learning curve for the two rappers and they gained quite a lot of exposure at such a young age. At the ages of 13 (Game-C) and 15(Trooper), they supported The Number 1 recording artist from the United States, Sisqo, From World famous R’n’B Group Dru Hill. They also performed at the biggest annual concert in Liverpool, ‘the Liverpool Summer Pops’.
Timber Troublez were on the performing circuit for about 2 years as a group but with the dynamics of the group changing and the grime scene in Liverpool growing, Timber Troublez was changed into Max Pain Crew, Liverpool’s Best Junior Grime Crew at the time. Max Pain Crew was once again run by Trooper and Game C but consisted of about 15 various MC’s on the Liverpool scene at that time.
2005-2006
Max Pain Crew was a short lived musical journey for Trooper and Game C as they felt that they were putting in all the work and reaping not enough rewards. They were awarded the Toxteth Achievement Award for their contribution to the local music scene and also the Dingle Opportunities Street waves award for their talent in production, performing and self promotion. Trooper and Game C were writing a song together one day and decided that they were the more determined 2 out of the group and wanted to progress more in the music industry. They decided that theywere going to continue their musical journey as a duo, but bringing in more local artists when needed, making them a collective of musicians. They decided they had been forsaken so many times and they came up with the name 4Saken, adding the number for effect.
2006-Present
4Saken entered and went on to win Streetwaves 2006, a competition run by the Liverpool Culture Company, and won the chance to perform at The Matthew Street Festival and other major events in the Liverpool Music calendar. They were the first ever act to play live at The Liverpool Echo Arena to over 10,000 people. They are now focused on promoting the collective and furthering their music career while being a positive role model to the youth of today in an industry and music genre that has a bad name.
