Michael Crevier was born 1968 in South London, England, to Trinidadian parents. In 1980, his parents moved from Trinidad and Tobago to the U.S.A., New York City where at 13, he started his education in music, he enrolled in a music program called Talent Unlimited in High School, where he learned and played a wide range of styles, also the band performed for events, shows and concerts. While growing in music he also had private instructors such as, Dennis Chambers, Camille Gainer, Scott Robinson and Tony Lewis. At 17, he started playing professionally with singers and groups at local bars and clubs, which lead him to artists such as Gwen Guthrie, Shirley Marshell, Chaka Kahn, Ron grant, Noel pointer and ETC. In 1990 he joined a group called Royal Pain in which they were featured on the Black Rock Coalition CD (rycodisc), which lead the band to touring, they were also featured on MTV and Much Music (Canada). In 1991 and 1992 he was asked by Ray Chew to play in the Yogi Horton tribute with a host of varied musicians and artists. Then in 1993 he moved to Orlando, Florida were he continues his career. In 1996 he joined a group called DEJA where they played in Epcot, Disney on the Junkanoo Bus for 2yrs. Also they were featured in carnivals, feastivals and concerts. 1999 they recorded a CD called DEJA, which scored a top 10 hit in Trinidad and Tobago. Since then he has gone on to work and toured with, Rita Marley and I thress, Wayne Wonder, Spragga Benz, Red Rat, Ken Boothe, Vonzell Solomon( American idol), Everton Blender,Leon Coldero, Third World, Mr. Vegas, Baby Cham, Miles Jaye . He has played at Disney’s Animal Kingdom( The Tropicals), Bob marley’s in universal studios(House band), he has done the play “Once on this island†which ran for 2 months, Also he’s worked on The Norweigan Dawn cruise ship and many more. His style, groove and commitment have kept him to continue to reach for success in music.
