Greg Lamarche

About Me

Greg first picked up the guitar inspired by the 80's realities of big hair and loud guitars. Thankfully, he also possessed an unstoppable interest in exploring different styles that took him through folk, blues, memphis soul, motown, jam bands, alt country, jazz, and all points in between.
The one contstant through Greg's explorations was a focus on tasteful musicianship - rather than aspiring to flashy guitar, Greg focused on the song.
Shortly after moving to Calgary, Greg met J.R. Shore, a gifted singer-songwriter, whose creations have earned well-deserved recognition from the Calgary Folk Festival. Greg received his call for 'jury duty' and joined on with J.R. Shore & the Jury along with Jan McKittrick and Mike Barer, from Edmonton's premiere jam band, 'The Grassroot Deviation'.
