Debbie UsherWas born in Santa Ana, California in 1979 and was raised in the Caribbean Belize, Central America for the most part of her life. She brings the warm, eclectic and smooth subtle feel of Sade, energetic body language of Shakira and an amazing voice and style of her own.She is vocally influenced by Mariah Carey, Gloria Estefan, Shakira, Sade’, Beyonce, Whitney Houston and countless others numerous to mention. Her lyrical influences are Neo-Soul, Jazz and Pop with a Latin and Reggae twist.She’s been singing since she was five in church, casually for family and she remembers a time at her youngest when she sang for her mom at her bed foot so she can fall asleep. But it wasn’t till she was 16 that she truly explored her exuberant talent. Not just to sing and dance, but to inspire and create and truly motivate others. She was frequently asked to perform at functions by high figures in her society. She did it with ease, grace and great fulfillment but most of all she says she did it for the love of it.When she graduated from high school, she joined a band in Belize that went by the name of “Mystic Stars”. They performed at gigs around Belize mildly but she says she enjoyed every bit of it and it was just what she needed to get her on the right path experience-wise. She continues to say, “In essence music moves me and I inspire to move others.”Debbie Usher is a true artist… she does it all, writes, sings and dances. She has even produced some of her own music so she knows her way around the studio. She started recording her first few songs, “Good Conversation and Have U”, two years ago and since then has remained consistent and is maturing quickly in her many abilities.She is surely a ray of sunshine and her smile alone will fill your heart. You can be prepared to feel refreshed by her new and unique sound, quality of music and unmatchable lyrics. You can be sure that it will leave you wanting to hear more.
