David Harris, Trumpet

David's educational preparation: Bachelors in Trumpet performance from Furman University, Masters in Music Theory with minor in Trumpet from the University of Memphis & a D.M.A. in Composition with minors in Trumpet & Film Scoring, from the University of Memphis. His past experience includes being a member of the Greenville (S.C.) Symphony Orchestra & while in Greenville he performed in joint concerts with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra & Duke Ellington and his Orchestra. David was also a staff trumpet player at the Carowinds Park in Charlotte,N.C. during the parks first opening season. While in Memphis he performed with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra & Memphis Civic Orchestra and played in musical groups that backed up Tony Orlando and Dawn, the Gaithers, Roy Clark & Mikhail Baryshnikov (ballet) & was in groups for many other concerts and shows.David currently serves as Music Director for El Shaddai Christian Church in Brentwood TN. http://www.elshaddaicc.org He has been a member of the Nashville based Musicoamusico organization & has traveled to Argentina twice & taught music theory, keyboard, & trumpet there.
