Testimonials
"BEMF is one of the most unique and enjoyable festivals out there that focuses on improvisation and creative musical practices. The gathering of artists is as much a social event as an artistic one, bringing together musicians from all over the country to hang out in beautiful downtown Boise at the lovely restaurants, coffee houses, pubs...and to listen to each others music. A wonderful event." - Jeff Kaiser (tea drinker, vegan, occasional yogi, and trumpet player), http://www.jeffkaiser.com/
"Remarkably short on attitude, long on the surprises that recombinance encourages, and as genial and matter-of-fact as the community that hosts it, BEMF has an interesting secret to drive its growth - anybody who's been there once wants to come back again, and they've told their friends." - Gregory Taylor, http://www.rtqe.net
"...BEMF is one of the best organized, most creative and most generous in spirit of any I've ever participated in. I'm just astonished that in less than two years that you have created a world class new music festival." - Rick Walker (festival coordinator & artistic director / professional musician), http://www.looppool.info/

Background
The 1st and 2nd Annual Boise Experimental Music Festivals were both major successes and received accolades that placed Boise, Idaho (USA) on the map of other high caliber music festivals from around the world. This achievement goes hand in hand with the fact that Boise is now the third largest city in the North West of the United States, next to Seattle and Portland. Boise is also one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, and along with that comes a more diverse and creative music and art community. The festival received significant coverage in both local and national media, and based on its artistic merit, it was awarded a grant from the Idaho Commission on the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.
