It is with the greatest pride and excitement that The Spectaculars announce the upcoming release of our sophomore effort, "You Can Look Up Now." It's done. It's dope. And it's destined for arrival online and on shelves July 2009. (Whew.) Words cannot express how thankful we are for your patience and your overwhelmingly passionate support. Nor can they express just how eager we are to unveil this new album for you - we hope you agree it has been worth the wait. Please look for updates on the release, our upcoming tour schedule, and the world premiere of our music video for a track called "Hup 2" very soon.Also, on the eve of all that jazz, we are thrilled to tell you that The Spectaculars have a been chosen to appear on a very special Roy Orbison birthday tribute cover album, "Under The Covers." The compilation is compliments of Barbara Orbison Productions, in association with AWAL, Gibson and Ephiphone, and is available exclusively on iTunes!Other "emerging artists from around the world" selected to appear on the album include Rooney, Aruba Red, Katie Vogel, Netsayi, Peter Conway and many more. To put it mildly, we are humbled and honored to be in such wonderful company, especially as it's in tribute to a rock legend we've so long admired and considered a distant influence.Alrighty, then.
