Habeeb is the solo project of L.Kerr of Steel Hook Protheses. Habeeb is an experimentation with the whole audio spectrum touching your deepest thoughts and feelings in the subconscious mind. Based out of Mansfield, Texas, Habeeb has been going strong since 2001. My influences include, but not limited to: Brighter Death Now, Megaptera, MZ.412, Skinny Puppy, Lustmord, Dead Voices on Air, Crust, Main, O.L.D., Death In June, Sleep, Techno Animal, Godflesh, and Butthole Surfers. My muscial journey started in 1991 with the formation of a hardcore/punk band called Steel Toe with myself on vocals, J. Stillings on bass, S. Parker on Drums, and J. Brockington on guitar. Steel Toe played a handful of shows and recorded a demo tape. After the split up of Steel Toe, I joined the military. During my obligations, John continued in a death metal project named Monolith. After a 6 year absence from the Dallas/Fort Worth scene I returned. Monolith's bass player left and John took over on the bass and I stepped in as vocalist. Thus, Flamethrower was born out of the ashes of Monolith. After about a year or so playing various shows and recording an EP, John and I parted ways with the remaining member of Flamethrower starting on our own endeavors. I also record under the name Black Moon Halo.
