THE METAL STORM is an EXTREME METAL radio program based in Los Angeles, CA. THE METAL STORM airs on KXLU 88.9 FM in Los Angeles every Thursday night/Friday morning from 12am-2am. The show can also be streamed live at www.KXLU.com from anywhere in the world. The show started in 2001 on KLMU 540 AM but graduated to the FM airwaves as a one hour segment on DJ Jean Luc's 2-6am rock show and eventually moved into a slot of it's own (Sundays from 4-6am) beginning in 2003. In 2005, the show moved to a Thursday night/Friday morning slot from 1-2am. In December 2007, though, the show once again became a two-hour program, airing now from 12-2am. The show features extreme metal from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and 00's and ranges from local unsigned artists to legends of the genre.
