Shock! Horror!

About Me

We are Shock! Horror! and we live in the suburbs of Perth, we enjoy cheap imported beer and wine, hanging out in kalamunda, instant coffee with honey and playing at people's parties as well as playing gigs.
We have shared bills with: Die! Die! Die! (NZ), So So Modern (NZ), Walter Meego (US), Children Collide (VIC), Lost Valentinos (NSW), The Scare (NSW) Young & Restless (VIC), Panel Of Judges (VIC) & Pets With Pets (VIC). We also played V Festival Perth 2009 & RTR FM's In The Pines 2009.
if you you would like us to play at your party (preferably a close to city location) or gig contact us on here through a message or through: [email protected]
"With the night already drawing on before first act Shock! Horror! showed any signs of movement, grabbing everyone's attention required blasting speakers and ears of anyone within a 2km radius. Efforts succeeded, with the reward a large curious group gathering in front of the stage. The foursome stood perfectly still as they delivered their post-punk, avant-garde sound, complete with random lyrics furiously spat by both singers. There was some competition, with the St Kilda/Bulldogs match playing on the other side of the bar, stealing some punters. But many were transfixed by the performance, wise enough to know they were watching something special, something fantastically subsided to the norm, with enough gusto and artistic stature to intrigue and fill t heir curiousity." -Kate Stephens, Drum Media 24/09/2009

Sounds Like: "We're particularly excited about the presence of upcoming Perth band and Inpress Myspace faves Shock! Horror! - their no-wave electro minimalism reminds us of Electrelane and/or Sonic Youth's Ciccone Youth era, and the fluid number of exclamation marks in their name brings back fond memories of the awesome and sadly missed Snap! Crakk!. Anyway, if they are as good as they sound on record, then this could be one of those gigs you'll be claiming you were at in about six months' time."
