JONVU

Jonvu knew he has traded his soul to dance music the very first time he stepped into one of the dance club in KL when he was 18. Finding satisfaction in mixing his own music, he knew he was meant to be on the deck, concerting the dance floor. Finding light in music, he worked to pay his course at Royale DJ Academy in 2007 and took lessons from Bryan Burger, one of the pioneer DJs in Malaysia's clubbing scene. Jonvu graduated with flying colours; lasers spinning in clubs, that's it.
Jonvu's first show was at Maison in early 2008 electrified the crowd as he experimented with various genres, cultivating and innovating beats to bring the house down. Influences from David Guetta, Jelo, Deadmau5, Steve Angello, Headman, Shitdisco, Vandalism, Steve Aoki & Boys Noize are the inspirations behind the energy; the sounds that transcend styles from house all the way to electro-clash. Gigs at Zouk KL, Bluenote Kota Kinabalu, Luna Bar & Raw KL further cemented his mark in the competitive dance industry. Jonvu draws energy from his crowd and releases freedom of music to woo them onto the dance floor.
Taken under the wings of Excessive Records Studio that manages & paves way for his career in the DJ scene, Jonvu has given commendable clubbing experiences at events such as 'Lovebomb', 'Hotel Scandalous' and 'Sessions' held at reputable club houses.
To Jonvu, it is all about trusting his instinct in the music scene; having the power to construct the environment he believes in, and live it up with other music lovers.
Passion aside, Jonvu is an enthusiastic dude who still go scouting with kids, craves cheese and enjoys his beer with chocolates. Now who says you have to be cool and crazy to be a funky DJ? It's all about soul expression.
