Tin Can Tavern & Grille was founded in 2005. We started with the basic premise that people like canned beer. All kinds of canned beer. The kind of stuff you stole from your Dad's fridge in the garage. The kind of beers that your Grandparents grew up on. The kind of beverages you drank in college when money was tight.
Before the invasion of the microbrew, and the bottle before that, there were cans of beer. They came in all sizes and essentially one flavor, but everyone had a favorite. You were a Stag man or maybe a Olympia girl, but you were loyal. You defended your brand. It was with this loyalty in mind that we started Tin Can Tavern & Grille. We aspired to create a meeting place that folks of all walks of life could feel comfortable in. To make that happen, we had to tailor a beer list that would cover all tastes... and loyalties. We'd like to think we accomplished that.
Next, we had to compose a food menu to compliment the spirit of our beer menu. Simple, yet diverse, and comfortable. A hybrid of American Homestyle dishes and bar food with a few twists was hammered out. It's comfort food. Be comfortable. We really enjoyed creating the food menu. The accolades (Best Mac & Cheese, Best Burger, Best Grilled Cheese) we have received for our food are simply the icing on the cake.
What we enjoy most of all about Tin Can Tavern are the people. The diverse crowd from as far as Wentzville and as close as a block away is what makes Tin Can Tavern what it is and what we hoped it would be. It's comfortable and our patrons are loyal. We're loyal to them as well.
