Our Mission Statement
Our main mission is to rescue horses from being slaughtered and to raise awareness to the American public, horse lovers and owners of the existence of foreign owned slaughterhouses.
We are gratful that American slaughterhouses have been closed; however the meat buyers continue to flood livestock auctions to purchase horses and send them to Canada, Mexico and other countries.
At the Foundation, we provide an alternative for these horses. We also believe that equine education is a primary reason that horses are returned to the system. A lot of people that adopt or even buy these horses do not know the basic nature of a horse therefore do not understand how to handle them.
Horses are an important part of American culture, heritage, economy and add tremendous value as companions and recreational animals. They should be afforded a more humane end of life than being brutally slaughtered.
It has been said "History was written on the back of a horse". Without horses we would have no country. American Quarter Horse

Miracle Ranch Foundation was formed on July 20, 2007, as a Texas nonprofit corporation for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c )(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
.. The Foundation will work with other equine rescue organizations and facilities, law enforcement and the general public to obtain horses for rehabilitation and placement in caring, loving, safe and secure homes to save them from premature and inhumane disposal.
We believe that most of the time these horses can be put back into society as a functioning animal with proper training. It is also our belief that horses can be turned around with loving, positive training techniques and become a productive part of society. A lot of their “issues” are not “horse” issues, they are “people”issues.
..
Our philosophy is that most horses can be rehabilitated and trained. The Foundation believes that the placement of rescued horses is delayed due to the amount of horses that are not trained, or re-trained. Properly trained horses are more apt to be adopted.
The horses will be cared for and trained at a thirty five acre facility in Medina, Texas.
