About Me

PROMETHIC IS NOW HISTORY. SADLY WE HAD DIFFERENCES ABOUT A LOT OF ISSUES THAT COULD NOT BE SORTED OUT, BUT WE ALL DEPART AS FRIENDS. WE WANT TO THANK ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAS SUPPORTED US IN ANY WAY. THANX AND WE'LL MEET AGAIN IN ANOTHER BAND, FORM OR IN THE AFTERLIFE.
Promethic was initially founded by Dag (drums) and Petter (guitars) in April 2007 and the band origins from Skien - Norway. Vocalist/ keyboardist, Thor joined in November 07. Summer 2008 Terje joined Promethic on bass and Remy joined on guitar. All members are in their twenties and have plenty of experience from previous bands.
In May 08 Promethic released their first EP; ”Rise From The Ashes”, recorded in Toproom studio in Norway. The same studio as Mayhem, Extol, Borknagard, Vintersorg, Turbonegro and others have used during their recordings. See www.toproomstudio.com for additional info.
Promethic is a unique band with a sound and style that has been influenced by many genres of metal and progressive music. Our music can be described as a lot of heavy riffs combined with strong melodies and harmony parts. We already have enough material for one full album so this EP is just the beginning.
The main goal for the band can be described as to take our music as far as we can and convince as many people as possible that this band is unique and can pen timeless songs that inspire people. We hope you are one of those that can help us achieve our goals by listening to our songs, add them to your page, buy our ep and spread the word!
If you are one of those persons that decide to help us further in any way we are forever gratefull!
