About Me
The ESNCM is pleased to announce the release of a new instrumental production; a CD entitled Jerusalem After Midnight, compositions by Suhail Khoury with arrangements by Ahmad Al Khatib. Eight pieces inspired by different experiences lived intensely by the composer over a period of ten years, charged with emotions of love and beauty, but marked with feelings of pain and anguish caused by an ongoing occupation that leaves its scars at the core of the soul of the individual. Featured in the recording are four Palestinian musicians and two international musicians Ahmad Al Khattib, on oud and buzuq, Ibrahim Attari on qanoun, Heather Burshe on flute, Yousef Hbeish on percussion, and Suhail Khoury on Nay and clarinet, with Austrian double-bass player Peter Herbert, Juergen Kersten on Drums and German cellist Nicolas Alstaedt. Recorded in Germany, the CD was released in the USA this March through the concerts of the Oriental Music Ensemble, and is available at the ESNCM Branches in Ramallah, Jerusalem and Bethlehem. The CD is available at the ESNCM Branches, Ramallah, Jerusalem and Bethlehem.,,,,,,,,,
