Eddie Cahill
Edmund Cahill was born on January 15th 1978 in New York City between two sisters, one older one younger, to an Irish father and Italian mother. He graduated from Byram Hills High School in New York in 1996 and attended New York University afterwards. He considered becoming a teacher but the acting bug bit him after he attended a performance of Les Miserables. Before he was spotted by Sex & the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, Eddie appeared in Nicky Silver's Off-Broadway "The Altruists" in 2000. In that same year he made his move onto the tv-screen in his first role as Sarah Jessica Parker's boyfriend Sean in Sex & the City. But the real break-through was probably when he landed a guest role on the hit TV show "Friends" as Tag Jones - Rachel's (Jennifer Aniston) boyfriend in October of 2000. Other appearances came with "Charmed," "Felicity," & "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In 2001 Eddie signed a holding deal with The WB Network to star in his own TV show. "Glory Days," debuted in 2002 but, while well received by critics and viewers, it did not last long. During the shooting of "Glory Days", he lived in Vancouver, Canada, where the serie was produced. Anyway not discouraged, Eddie went on to make appearances in the series "Haunted" and "Dawson's Creek." But in the same year as he signed a deal with The WB Network, Eddie was chosen for E! Online's "Sizzlin' Sixteen" list as one of the brightest up-and-coming stars of the year (2001). In 2004 Eddie made his leap onto the big screen in the movie "Miracle", where he had the honor to play his childhood hero Jim Craig, the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey goalie. Followed to that Eddie became an official NHL Blogger. In the same year he joined the cast of CSI:NY as Detective Donald Flack. He says, he loves doing the show and is going to stick with CSI:NY as long as the producer wants him to. Eddie continued his movie career in "Lords of Dogtown" and he stares in two upcoming in 2008 movies as well. Today he lives in Los Angeles, California, where CSI:NY is mainly produced with his artist girlfriend, who he has been dating for more than 5 years now.
