You can't be anything but proud of and impressed by this amazing singer, songwriter and bass player from the midwest. Introduced to her talent as a six year old elementary school student who just so happened to be picked for a solo because she was one of the more well behaved kids in the choir. Life is funny that way. Cherri continued performing in various shows, girl groups and competitions throughout the years. And was even featured on some HipHop and gospel albums that gained radio played.
Two weeks after graduating from college she moved away to Atlanta to pursue her dream. She made it on a few more jazz, R&B, HipHop albums like D Lucas, Queen Sheba, and the GroovProject. However, she always had a passion for more edgy pop, rock and alternative music. The strong, proud, loud ones who wasn't afraid to do things outside the box, jump in yo face and make you listen to what they had to say. Thank you for independent music. There were people right in front of her face doing the exact thing she felt inside of herself. BOOM!!!, than she fell in love with the bass guitar. It came out of nowhere! It was so mystical and beautiful but yet deep and powerful all at the same time. Seeing solo bassist and master groove bassist perform around town, she had to learn. And though it's only been a short time (in musician years of course) people are already noticing her and are impressed by what she has accomplished. She started playing for her first gig after only six weeks and remarkably won her first bass endorsement off bassgirls.com after three months. WOW!!Check out www.spiritmusicalproducts.comToday she is amazing crowds wherever she goes. Singing and playing her heart out. Oh and at the same time mind you. She has completely embraced the fact that ..."Black Music Encompasses more than Crunk & R&B... Thank you to all of the people who showed me there were other options for a talented black female artist in this industry". Fight 'til the End. BASS & BEER!!!
