I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I work here. I am a Sr. Project Manager for this site. This one. The one you're browsing right now. I toil night and day so that you can come here and enjoy our content offerings and meet like-minded individuals. Truth be told, this is a pretty damn exciting place to work, especially given that we'll be expanding some features beyond just the usual social networking meet people/message boards/have a nice day stuff. We have a great photo application, that rivals what you can do with some of the other photo sites out there. We have channels for all sorts of original content. Our events section is essentially a replacement for Evite. And, as some of you may know, we are about to engage in a very special music project in conjunction with the major record labels (that's my current project).
In fact, here are some of the particular MySpace projects I'm especially proud of (because they're all projects I managed...): Launched 23 versions of MySpace.com in international countries. Totally remade the site for MySpace Korea Totally remade the site and migrated it to a completely new hosting environment for MySpace China Launched the MySpace Developer Platform and MySpace Apps project, based on the Open Social standard. Go there and try out some apps.
Aside from MySpace, I bring these other things to the table: Married to a foxy, brilliant redhead, as seen by my top friend... Awkward amateur ice hockey player Avid fan of the NHL's worst team, the LA Kings Classically trained theatre director Failed actor Lover of travel, wine, and good food Former theatre critic for the O.C. Weekly Worked for the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, back in the day Owner of the world's sweetest German Shepard

My Interests

Wine, Travel, Ice Hockey, did I mention wine?, science, Web 2.0 stuff, my money, my Dog, my Saab, history, Theatre, music, but not friggin' poetry. Wasting money on real nice restaurants. Daytrips in tropical locations that involve excellent snorkeling, a BBQ lunch, and hordes of locals pedaling cheap "shell-market" trinkets. I also like architecture, maps, symphony orchestra concerts, history, and trashing shitty movies on Flixster . I also spend most of my time being married. I have never been arrested.

I'd like to meet:

A Quick Whine About Today’s Romney Annoncement

Frankly, it's a disaster (for me and my like-minded staunchly anti-GOP brethren). I had visions of McCain and Romney eating away at each others' campaign war chests. I had visions of each of them smea...

Baffling the sense of accomplishment someone would get out of this.

Why? I'm not opposed to the NRA or guns. I don't hate people from Minnesota (one of my favortie people of all is from Minn.). I even listen to Ed Schultz from time to time. But why THIS? (Note: you'll...
