Myspace Backgrounds-Joe and Billy met in 1973 outside a courthouse. Four years later they moved in together and called their band Hard Core Logo. Joe took off in search of stardom finding a friend/mentor in Bucky Haight.-1980: Joe and Bucky met up in LA. Bucky introduced Joe to Pipe and John. They recorded the “Son of a Bitch to the Core†single with Bucky producing.Later that year Joe, Bucky, John and Pipe returned to BC and joined with Billy Tallent to form the complete line up of the band.-April 15, 1980: First official Hard Core Logo show at the Old American Hotel in Vancouver.-June 1980: The band released the Son of a Bitch to the Core EP, produced by Art Bergman.-1981: The band signed to Gilt Lick Records and released Hard Knock High, produced by Bucky.-Later that year, HCL released the U.S. Out of North America EP produced by Frankie Venom of Teenage Head.-December, 1981: the Bucky Haight produced Blue Guitar EP.-1983: Think Global Act Stoopid was released in Canada and the U.S. produced by Peter Moore and Bucky.-1984: The AEH? album was released and would go on to be their most commercially successful album.-In 1985 Joe flew to Glasgow, Scotland to work on Bucky’s first solo record.-In 1986 Daniel Rey produced the Something’s Gonna Die Tonight EP.-1987: Bucky moved to a farm in Saskatchewan. He invited the “original†band to back him up on his new record and tour. They did while Billy sat in with the Hard Rock Miners.-1988: The band conducted sessions for their new record. Ian Blurton and Joe “Shithead†Keithly helped produce. Adult Comics was released, June 1988.-Summer, 1988: The band opened for the Ramones on their European tour.-November, 1989: Rock n Roll is Fat and Ugly was released.-January 15, 1991: Hard Core Logo officially called it quits.-Billy joined Jenifur in July, 1995.-August 1995: Bucky Haight was allegedly shot on his farm. Joe organized a benefit show.-October 29, 1995: Hard Core Logo broke the years of silence and reunited at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC.-Bruce McDonald followed the band on their tour of Canada.-Sunday, November 5 at 3 a.m. Joe Dick shot himself in the head on camera.-The film Hard Core Logo was released in October, 1996.
