.......Born, raised and living in Prince Georges County Maryland, it was evident at early childhood that Jjohnson was born to not only entertain, but to inspire. Although his outer appearance may not be what today's industries are looking for first, don't be too quick to judge. With his hard to believe background in music, writing, multi-style dance, dance/choreography and theatre/drama/directing skills, this young artist is a true force to be reckoned with. Along with his captivating charisma, J's unmatched style is a contagious blend of soul, gospel, hip-hop, R&B, and inspiration, combined with lyrics inspired by not only his life, but the lives around him as well. Jjohnson is truly one of a kind!Born into a hard working middle class family, J started singing at the age of four. He then later began to discover his incredible ability to emulate dancers and their routines on the spot. At age 12, his ability later led him to use his special talents for a young and originally upcoming organization in P.G. County known to many today as Colours Performing Arts Troupe. There, J learned everything he now knows today in performing, theater, drama, stage production, and much more. Jjohnson desired to broaden his knowledge of music by enrolling into Suitland High School's Visual and Performing Arts Program, majoring in Music. At Suitland, J sharpened his skills in music/piano theory, private vocal coaching, oral dictation, Suitland's numerous elite choirs and even co-directing one of Suitland High Schools most memorable showcases; SHS V.P.A. Choir Presents: The Motown Review, and along with lifetime colleagues Larry Rogers, Kyonte', Russell Parsons and Roger Myers forming the R&B group “5th Elementâ€.Jjohnson's goal is to simply capture your soul by his words of education, inspiration, and joy, pain, lost and most importantly, “GAIN." J writes all of his lyrics and arrangements. Jjohnson is currently in the studio working on his debut album.
