After witnessing first hand the slow decline of the live music scene, he had a vision of what was lacking. Many artists began asking him for guidance and advice on how to be the best band they can be. Joe has decided to take a step in bringing back the live music scene through artist development. This is the belief that it is the development and direction of new bands that is the key to success, not just where you play and for how much.
At A.D.M.C. artists are free to be themselves and create their own persona all the while getting expert and hands on advice from someone with years of experience and success in the business. You wont be dealing with any interns or new hires. Joe works personally with each artist. A.D.M.C. can use it's information and contacts to get your band on its way to success. ABOUT THE CEO AND FOUNDER:
Joe Degennaro has been a part of the tri-state area's rock music scene since the mid 90's. However, his roots in music trace back much further. There is years of musical history throughout his family tree, including his father that toured the country in the 70’s as an original act. Throughout his childhood in the late 80’s and early 90’s, Joe was a roadie, learned sound and recording skills, and even made solo vocal appearances as early as age 6, playing various wedding and corporate shows with his father.
His first musical break came in the late 90’s when he was a part of a group called Tyris. The band was briefly signed to a developmental deal with Columbia Records and released a self-titled album as well. Following this, he was in some local bands with moderate success until a group formed that would change not only music in the area, but his life forever. Along with 2 hometown friends (one being his older brother) and a 3rd who made a lasting impression on him during a performance, The Benjamins was formed with the idea of creating original music and promoting it through a successful cover act. As the front man for this mega successful band, The Benjamins are the top drawing act in the tri-state area, playing more than 200 shows annually. The group is currently signed to an indie deal with Core Records and a major distribution deal with Koch Entertainment. This has led to their album, “The Chronicles of the Garden Stateâ€, being released in 2007 to major music stores across the country. He has rocked the best stages in the Northeast as well as shared it with famed national acts like: Goo Goo Dolls, Sponge, Third Eye Blind, Lost Prophets, and Lifehouse.
Joe has been through and seen everything in this business, earning a first hand account of what it was like then and how it is now. The ability of his own band to stay successful year in and year out is, in part, a testament to his ability to stay current with the ever changing world of music. Joe has the utmost respect of every club, bar, agency, and band throughout the area and the contacts/experience that any new band would need to make it to the top. Personable, reliable, and honest is how many of the artists he has worked with have described him. Joe has a vision and that vision is the guiding force behind what he hopes will be a rebirth of the live music scene through artist development.
