About Me

Hello Beautiful One Poem written to affect change in the classroom deepened the educator/student relationship. The Hello Beautiful greeting/mantra has become a path lit to outline the future of any and all students. What began in the classroom as one educator’s solution to counter act negative programming and self sabotaging behavior(s) has become a movement. Two words, Hello Beautiful . . . induced self respect, built character, prompted a new expectation in the classroom and began to cultivate a self-love.In a tri-fold scenario the Hello Beautiful Movement challenges educators to set higher expectations for the classroom and refuse negative degrading language in the classroom. Focus on each students strengths and exploit them, while at the same time strengthening each students weaknesses. Another aspect of the Hello Beautiful Movement, extracts the negativity that surrounds youth in disadvantage communities. By using Hello Beautiful to replace the N.B.W. (Nigga, Bitch, Whore) terms of endearment The final aspect of the Hello Beautiful movement equalizes the disparities presented to the general public through media (billboards, magazine, television) imaging, which in turns, leave our children feeling inadequate and/or abnormal, so we use Hello Beautiful to amplify the beauty in diversity.Ultimately I am asking persons to try Hello Beautiful for 21days. Start by halting all negative words coming into your personal space or coming out of your mouth and/or out of your personal space and replacing any and all things negative with POSITIVE words/energy going in and ultimately coming out. This includes all negative people who are harming you and your space. Join the movement, Surround yourself with words of destiny like Hello Beautiful, and document the outcome, journal your results and tell me about it at a www.iamtashajones.com journal page. Then go beyond the 21 days and use Hello Beautiful for LIFE!
