The generation’s next female super artist, Richel is a new breed of performer as a talented vocalist, songwriter, pianist, dancer, and producer. Inspired by the struggles she’s been faced with, you can hear the beauty of overcoming pain in Richel’s music. The uniquely personal experience that informs Richel’s music makes her that much more special. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and based in New York City, Richel has evolved through turbulent trials, faced adversity, and truly accepted the challenge; crediting her musical and artistic inspiration and abilities to a mother she recently lost. She is Ivy League educated, in addition to attending Berklee College of Music. As a pianist, she has been creating melodies that connect the song and the listener since the age of two. As a songwriter, her inspiration grows from the kinds of life experiences that anyone can relate to. As a dancer benefiting from self-taught and formal training experience, she amazes with skills that most female dancers can’t touch, like popping and locking, krumping, break dancing, and remarkable choreography. And as a vocalist, her warm voice has incredible range, rich texture, unannounced power, and a soft essence that pulls you in. Drawing from the many great artists of her generation, and those that came before like Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, TLC, India.Arie, Timbaland, Janet, Shanice, Brandy, Babyface, Outkast, The Neptunes, and Sade to name a few, Richel uses their greatness as a springboard to mold her own unique style. Sexy, feisty, fun, intelligent, humble, kind, and with much to share, Richel is the model of the multi-talented female artist and performer.
