The Bible I feel should be in a category all on its own since there is no other book that has as much of an impact on my life. After that books that have left an impression on me are: The Walking Drum ~ Louis L'Amour, The Man Who Was Thursday ~ G.K. Chesterton, The Lord Of The Rings ~ J.R.Tolkien, Highliners ~ William McClouskey, The Lost Princess ~ George Macdonald, The Saving Life Of Christ ~ Major Ian Thomas, The Death Of Ivan llyach ~ Leo Tolstoy, The Last American Man ~ Elizabeth Gilbert, The Alchemist ~ Paulo Coelho, Cash ~ Johnny Cash, The Education Of A Wandering Man ~ Louis L'Amour, Blue Like Jazz ~ Don Miller, The Sea Wolf ~ Jack London, All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarden ~ Robert Fulghum, In The Name Of Jesus ~ Henri Nouwen, Life After God ~ Douglas Copeland, How Soccer Explains The World ~ Franklin Foer, Uncle Tom's Cabin ~ Harriet Beecher Stowe, The Sacred Romance ~ Curtis and Eldredge, The Pearl ~ John Steinbeck, Pride and Prejudice ~ Jane Austen, most C.S. Lewis, Hamlet ~ William Skakespeare .....plus so many more but enough for now!
The person who has had the greatest impact on my life is probably my dad. He is really wise and has modeled for me what it means to live for Christ. I also have a great amount of respect for both of my grandpas. In turn that means I really admire my mum and grandmas because behind every great man is a great woman! As far as heroes I would say: Jimmy Stewart, Johnny Cash, Margaret Thatcher, Louis L'amour, Bono, G.K Chesterton, Eric Liddel, Corrie Ten Bom, Billy The Kid, Sir Ernest Shackleton...there are many more but those are the one's that come to mind.
