First and foremost, I am a wife, mother, foster mother, step-mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Yep, I have a lot of people who call me mom and I love it!Secondly, I am a fiber artist who enjoys anything to do with fabric. I've sewn everything from bridal gowns to hand tailored men's suits to airline upholstery. In the last few years I've discovered the world of art quilts. I especially love creating landscape quilts. (No, they're not to be used on a bed. They hang on the wall.) I'm currently working on my "Teton" quilt - with inspiration taken from a photo I took the last time we were out there. It's looking pretty good.I started sewing around age 7 (just a couple of years ago) on my grandmother's treadle machine. Today I have a top of the line computerized machine that allows me to design on the computer, put the design on a usb stick, put that into the sewing machine and embroider it out. Wow! Sometimes I wish my grandmother was still around to see it. Can't imagine what she would think.
