There are some of you who can not sleep at all... There are things out there that keep you awake at night... Things so potent in your mind you almost fear sleep.... What are they?
Neversleep is a four-piece metal band from the Salem, Oregon area. Formed in early 2005 the group takes its name from the strong influence of nightmares, insomnia, and twisted experiences that keep people awake at night. They fuse the gritty, crunchy sounds of several sub-genres of metal and add melodic ambiant hooks which make it hard to classify them in any particular catagory. They play all around the Pacific Northwest consistently and are constantly writing new material between their already active performance schedule. They intend to tour nationally and are currently working on their self-produced debut album and hope to eventually gain label interest.
After a line up change in 2008 the band begain redefining their sound and slightly shifted gears in their musical direction. Neversleep has shared the stage with national acts such as Poweman 5000, Rikets, Sixstitch, American Me, and Endrone, as well as playing shows with some of the larger Local area bands like Apocolypsehead, Kapuda, Proven, and Quandry.
Neversleep has recieved great reviews from independent journalists. in 2007 were filmed live for a DVD by C2M2 records. In early 2009 they tore up the stage at the Hawthorne theater with the Slave to the metal fest hosted by none other then Mistress Julia from Fuse TV it was a packed house of people screaming their name. They have established good relations with members of media outlets Hollywood Music TV and Crave Magazine and continue to work on gaining exposure for their music.
