Once upon a time there was a girl named Jennie. She lives in a land where the humidity is cruel to hair, strangers flock from every corner of the globe to pay homage to a mouse, & creepy crawly critters and slimy slithery creatures outnumber people about a gajillion to one. This place is known as Orlando. As strange as it sounds, Jennie has grown accustom to this weird place & has made a nice life for herself there. Although, she will always have a special place in her heart for the land where she grew up – San Diego, a place so beautiful that even the sun can’t resist taking a dip into the pacific every evening.Jennie is a girl that is a little difficult to explain. I suppose the best way to describe her, is that she is a deceptively simple yet endlessly complicated puzzle just waiting for someone to figure out. In fact, more often than not, Jennie is trying to figure herself out.Music is like oxygen for her. If you were to take it away, Jennie would suffocate in the silence. Rock music is her favorite but she listens to all types of music, even music other people might consider cheesy like love song duets & select show tunes. Supporting the local music scene and going to live shows is always a major part of her life as well.The most important thing to Jennie is her friends. She may not have as many as some, but she holds the ones that she does have very near to her heart. Her friends are her family & without them she would be lost. Whether it’s hanging out at their favorite bar drinking their weight in miller lite & jager bombs, singing at the top of their lungs in the car on those all too common road trips to see their favorite bands, or just hanging out having deep conversations about nothing at all, Jennie loves it all. Any time spent with her friends leaves a smile on her face.Other random facts about Jennie are that she loves to wear frilly dresses, high heels, & sparkly baubles but tank tops, jeans, & flip flops are her way of life. A really good cup of coffee is almost a religious experience for her. She’s a bit on the shy side at first, but a fun girl once she opens up. Monotony is her worst enemy. She’s a girly girl at heart but she is never afraid to get dirty with the boys. She loves to cook, and she’s pretty darn good at it, but she doesn’t get to do it as often as she would like. She has an unstoppable compulsion to buy shoes & purses.Where Jennie’s story ends is anyone’s guess. Until then, she’s going to keep trying to live her life with intention, accepting & enjoying every journey that she stumbles upon & doing good along the way, and laughing & loving as much as possible.
