My name is Marco Jürgensen.
I am co-founder of the Viking group NORDAN FRÆNDI.
I deal for about 8 years intensely with the Viking's time and their correct representation. At the moment I am most interested in show fight and medieval fight technologies.
Other interests are to be sewed leather treatments like pockets and armament, carving wooden art in chests and utensils and making and sewing different kind of clothes.
All representation objects have been made by myself, except the weapons.
My main interests in the representation lie on the one hand in the early Viking's time, the Vendel-era thus around 750 AC, and the ending Viking's time, the Normannic-age, about 1050 AC.
Me and my friends founded the Viking's group Nordan Fraendi in 2005, with the aim to adjust this life of the past, to reenact it for ourselfs and to meet interesting people from all over the world.
We want to show interested people, mostly the children, a high authentic representation in craftwork and history.
The seat of this Reenactment group is in Wallsbüll near Flensburg wich is close to the Danish border.
We organise a big Viking market once a year and like to
invite all interested reenactment-groups that the market will become something special again!
The market will take place from the 21th to the 23th of August 2009 in Wallsbüll.
We attach great importance to a maximum amount of authenticity in representation.
This year we want to improve the show fight battle presentation and carry out a Huscarl tournament. Whether it becomes a Huscarl battle or a tournament one against one is not certain yet.This market will be exclusively a Viking's market... and therefore...
