Chairman Mao, advertising and BPD
Margaret Thatcher
Killing Joke, Black Mountain I just got and it's good, Boris, DJ Shadow, David Bowie, Laurent Garnier, DJ Krush, Nine Inch Nails, Feist, Herbert, Front 242, J Dilla, Underworld before Darren Emerson left, Decatur by Sufjan Stevens, Nirvana, old Metallica, Sigur Ros, Stevie Wonder, the Melvins, Tool, TV On The Radio's first EP, and Sonic Youth though not as much as some people.
Empire Strikes Back. And I think Gus Van Sant sucks.
Degrassi, Deadwood, Arrested Development and Paranoia Agent, the coolest television show ever made, by the guy who did Paprika, go rent it.
The most recent book I read is the Mao biography, which is interesting because they argue that China wasn't a capitalist society and communism was thus entirely about Mao killing people. They used to make fun of him in Pravda until Stalin had all of them killed. Purge, purge, purge. And the CCP was a Russian puppet for decades. I think I would end up killing people in a society like that.
People who don't kill people under extreme pressure, and William Shatner.
