Muela was born and raised in Monterrey, México on May 10th 1977. He began playing drums at age 10, then switched to guitar at 11 and finally discovered bass at 13 when a family friend told him that as a bass player there would be always more job oportunities.
He earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from UDEM and after graduating has devoted entirely to the beauty and joy of making music for a living. He has studied with master bass players Lalo Carrillo (Luis Miguel, No-Pals) and Pablo González (Los Claxons, Chris Duarte, Estrella).
After having played in many bands, Muela joined Lalo Bladinieres, Roberto Morgenroth and Javier Garagarza to form ELEVADOR (www.myspace.com/elevador) and right now is working on their second album which will be out on april 2009. His style is diverse but considers himself best suited for Funk, R&B, Rock, Pop and anything that has GROOVE. Give him a try and let him RECORD FOR YOUR PROYECT!!! He's also an active musician, gigging constantly in the circuit and is recorded on a regular basis for diverse projects.
