About Me

In June of 2008 I released my long awaited album titled 'Travelin' Show'.
11 months of Arranging, Recording & Producing with my good friend and brother Jamie "Preme Diesel" Kuse...was nothing short of awesome!
The ideas poured from us both and every session was productive and usually a late night blast.
We also brought in a parade of super talented backing players from Chris Chok on Piano, Jim Kwan on Hammond Organ, David Marion on Bass, Mike Ardagh on Drums, and the incomparable Aileen de la Cruz on Backing Vocals.
The album also features Mike Southworth of Scatterheart on lead guitar, and the incredible Warren Dean (Flandez) singing back-up on 'Some Kind of Change'. I am very proud to share just a small part of what I consider to be...my best work to date. Please feel free to send me your comments...or if you would like to be added to the mailing list.
Cheers ~ Bowen
BIO: “ Bowen is a Canadian singer/songwriter/guitarist with something special to offer. Here he brings you his latest album, 'Travelin' Show', in which he lays down a collection of excellent songs that skip in and out of genre; sounds from here, styles from there but, everything coming quite clearly from the heart, soul and lively mind of Bowen.”
UK Reviewer Peter J Brown
“ With “Travelin’ Show,” Bowen has created a memorable record filled with strong male vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and cutting edge production. If you enjoy the pop rock sound and male singer/songwriters, give this CD a listen! “
RadioIndy Review
Bowen's songs have received international recognition.
In 2007, both 'Coming Over' and 'Jaded' received honorable mentions in the Unisong International Songwriting Contest.
More recently Chill, Back On You, Travelin' Show, Yellow Line, Jaded and My Own were all Semi-Finalists in the 2008 UK International Songwriting Contest.
In October of last year, Bowen signed a non-exclusive Film & TV Licensing Deal with Los Angeles based Synchup and in December Hollywood based 272 Records released Ultrapop Overdose Vol.1, a compilation album that included Bowen's 'Coming Over'.
Bowen’s songs are diverse and meaningful with provocative lyrics, mature themes and melodic catchy hooks.
Bowen’s live shows are engaging!! He can ignite a room and captivate all those who are present!
He sings from his soul with passion and drive. The songs are sometimes gritty, and always real… if you have a pulse, you will definitely feel it!!
Currently, Bowen is in the process of marketing his new album, making connections with industry reps. and honing his live show.

Above all, “Travelin’ Show” is an album of great songs, each and every track so catchy that you will find yourself simultaneously singing along and reveling in Bowen’s creativity.
The songs are filled with great melodies and a nice layering of sounds both in the vocals and in the arrangements.
If that isn't enough, the quality of the recordings is excellent with every facet of the sound represented throughout."

'Travelin' Show' sounds like it should be played low and sweet but surprisingly, if your turn up the volume, loud and proud works just as well - in fact, I prefer it a bit more up-front and aggressive, it seems to work better dynamically which opens the door a lot more and lets you hear more of the subtle nuances, the gentle ebb and flow of instruments and beats, the vocal dexterity with all of its soulful warmth.
Clever stuff this!!
'Travelin' Show' by Bowen is a delightful album of exquisitely crafted songs performed with relish and distinction. Bowen sets his stall out in no uncertain terms here and suggests he's got what it takes to at least chase the big boys and make them think a bit.
