Tru 2 Life’s ministry is centered around the salvation and nurturing of souls. Salvation and discipleship is the goal of everything that the ministry undertakes. Tru 2 Life formed in March of 2005 and has since shared the stage with Gospel music’s own Dr. Bobby Jones, Christian rapper BB Jay, and Christian Hip Hop vocalist Canton Jones to name a few. The Lord has taken Tru 2 Life to inner city streets, universities, homeless shelters, prisons, detention centers, churches, community festivals, radio stations, television networks, and many other places so that they can share the Good News of Jesus Christ. ____________________________________________________________
___________The duo consists of Anthony McGruder and Omega Nicholson. Before knowing one another both of these men surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ telling Him, “Whatever you want me to do, I’ll do it.†That request led Anthony (a former Division III All-American) away from pursuing a basketball career overseas, and found Omega teaching studio recording (a subject totally foreign to him at the time) in an alternative high school. The two met at Agape Fellowship Ministries in East Hartford, CT with the intention of doing one song for the church youth. That one song led into hundreds and now the group has a debut project entitled "Salvation thru the Mic.â€The sounds of Tru 2 Life are truly unique. Anthony’s smooth off beat rap delivery combined with Omega’s distinct vocals make for easy listening and a clear message.
