For some reason I have been a bit off lately.I don't know what it is. Today while in New York City I was doing some soul searching...and as i was walking I saw this card at a tacky souvenir shop on 57th. Just the perfect simple words that I needed at that exact time: It read: "I BEG YOU...TO HAVE PATIENCE WITH EVERYTHING UNRESOLVED IN YOUR HEART AND TRY TO LOVE THE QUESTIONS THEMSELVES AS IF THEY WERE LOCKED ROOMS OR BOOKS WRITEN IN A VERY FOREIGN LANGUAGE.DON'T SEARCH FOR THE ANSWERS, WHICH COULD NOT BE GIVEN TO YOU NOW, BECAUSE YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE THEM. AND THE POINT IS, TO LIVE EVERYTHING. LIVE THE QUESTIONS NOW. PERHAPS THEN, SOMEDAY FAR IN THR FUTURE, YOU WILL GRADUALLY WITHOUT EVEN NOTICING IT, LIVE YOUR WAY INTO THR ANSWER....ranier rilke.
