About Me

Black isn't the colour of freedom. Nor is white. Blood is the colour of freedom

Hey, I'm Hugh. I started this project, called "The Familiar Remedy", so I could utilize my experience in drums, guitar, bass and vocals combined with my zeal for audio production to showcase my various musical ideas. Although my main focus is in metal and hardcore, I enjoy experimenting with other genre's, especially rap and acoustic. I'm a Christian, so most of my songs are likely to deal with the joys and struggles of walking with Christ. My influences and inspiration are anywhere from bands such as As I lay Dying and Haste the Day, to Steely Dan or the Late 80s Mercedes, to Lil Jon and Daddy Yankee, or even something simple like just watching the autumns leaves in the wind. I'm a pretty strange dude, but I'm friendly, so chuck us a comment or a message or somethin and I'll been keen to talk with you.

Love God. Love People.
